Slamming SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal for his allegations of recruitment scam, Punjab Congress MLAs on Sunday termed him ‘lootera’ of Punjab, who had duped the people of the State during his 10 years tenure. “Sukhbir has no moral values to question the integrity of Punjab Education Minister Pargat Singh who has been working day and night to bring reform into the education system,” said Congress MLAs, including Punjab Congress working president Kuljit Singh Nagra, Barindermeet Singh Pahra, Kulbir Singh Zira, and Amit Vij, in a joint statement.
“Badals had looted Punjab for years and during their 15 years rule in the past two decades, they had not recruited even a single professor,” they added. Congress legislators said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, the Education Minister is recruiting 1,091 assistant professors after 25 years in a transparent manner but rather than welcoming this ‘revolutionary’ move, Sukhbir Badal is levelling “baseless accusations”.
