Congress to survey candidates for ULB

Friday, 26 November 2021 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

The Congress will not demand biodata of party candidates for the ensuing Urban Local Bodies (ULB) polls. Instead, the candidate will be named after going through a survey.

This decision was taken at a meeting of the party here on Thursday.

AICC Chhattisgarh in-charge P.L. Punia chaired the meeting where Chief Minister Bhupesh and PCC chief Mohan Markam were present along with a dozen of cabinet Ministers.

The meeting called for formulating a strategy for the polls.

It was decided at the meeting to constitute ward, booth, election manifesto and publicity committees by November 30.
