Covid-19 tally increases to 96992 in Uttarakhand

The tally of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand mounted to 96992 on Sunday with the state health department reporting 43 new cases of the pandemic. The authorities discharged 11 patients of the disease from different hospitals on Sunday following their recovery from the disease. A total of 93453 patients have so far recovered from the disease in the state.  The recovery percentage from the disease now stands at 96.5 and the sample positivity rate is 4.03 percent.

No patient of the disease was reported dead by the health department on the day. A total of 1692 people have so far reported dead in the state. 

The health department reported 18 new patients of the disease in Dehradun district on the day. Here 2380 samples were tested in different labs on Sunday. In Haridwar 10 patients were reported, seven from Nainital, five from Udham Singh Nagar and one each from Almora, Champawat and Tehri on the day.

No new patients were reported from Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts on Sunday.

The state now has 451 active patients of Covid-19. Haridwar district is at the top of the table of active cases of the disease with 140 patients. Dehradun with 109 active patients is at second position; Nainital has 66, Pauri 30, Udham Singh Nagar 25, Almora 24, Tehri 19, Champawat 15, Chamoli and Uttarkashi nine each, Bageshwar four and Rudraprayag one active cases of the disease. Pithoragarh district has no active cases of the district.
