The IIM Sambalpur has signed an MoU with the Sambalpur district administration to tackle the Covid crisis in the area. The pact was signed in the presence of Director, IIM Sambalpur Prof Mahadeo Jaiswal and district Collector Subham Saxena.
The MoU will focus on areas such as to embark on effective citizenengagement and efficient health infrastructure supply chain managementto deal with the Covid19 pandemic; enabling research and solutionframeworks for governance such as impact evaluation; creating newclass of applications and solutions that focus on optimising thedelivery of Government services in identified areas.
The technical areas of collaboration include development of tourism , public health, handloom and handicraft development, Mission Shakti,indigenous knowledge documentation, study scope and scalability offood processing units in Sambalpur, financial inclusion through skilldevelopment and livelihoods, urban governance and transformation andSmart Sambalpur with “Education Hub” as the core.
