Covid graph continues upward trend

The Covid-19 graph continued to rise in Uttarakhand on Wednesday with 1,953 new positive cases being reported in the state. While 13 patients of the disease died, 483 patients recovered from the disease on the same day in the state. There are 10,770 active cases in the state at present with a sample positivity of 3.59 per cent and recovery rate of 87.16 per cent. Uttarakhand now has a total cumulative Covid cases numbering 1,14,024 of which 99,380 have been cured. A total of 1,793 patients have succumbed to the disease in the state so far.

Out of the total positive cases reported on Wednesday, the highest remained in Dehradun district with 796 cases followed by Haridwar with 525 cases and Nainital with 205 cases. The positive cases reported from other districts including 118 in Udham Singh Nagar, 92 in Almora, 79 in Pauri, 78 in Tehri, six each in Rudrarparyag and Bageshwar, eight each in Chamoli and  Uttarkashi, 28 in Champawat and four in Pithoragarh. When it comes to the number of active cases there are 4,346 in Dehradun district, 3,179 in Haridwar, 1,180 in Nainital, 545 in Udham Singh Nagar, 458 in Pauri, 392 in Tehri, 215 in Almora, 96 in Pithoragarh, 83 in Rudraprayag, 32 in Uttarkashi, 95 in Bageshwar, 99 in Champawat and 50 in Chamoli. Meanwhile, vaccination continued in the state with 30,600 beneficiaries being vaccinated in 533 sessions on Wednesday. While a total of 1,225,054 beneficiaries have been partially vaccinated, a total of 2,02,944 beneficiaries have been fully vaccinated in the state so far.
