Covid vaccination camp set up in Ambience Mall in Gurugram

In collaboration with the District Health Department, The Ambience Mall on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway in Gurugam has set up a Covid vaccination camp inside it's premises to provide free Covid jabs to visitors, nearby residents and employees of the mall.

Giving more information about the drive, Arvind Kapoor, General Manager of the Ambience Mall told The Pioneer, that the camp was set up for the last three weeks on every Sunday and this week on Monday specially for the 45 plus age groups of people.

Kapoor, who was present at the vaccination camp and took sort of the situation said, 'We have set up this camp to provide free vaccine to the people without any hassle. We are appealing to the residents that anyone can come here with an ID proof can receive covid jab."

Meanwhile, The health department started vaccinating residents at public places, as part of its plan to expand the vaccine drive.

Kapoor informed that they have vaccinated 120 to 140 people during vaccination drive at their camp.

"The vaccine was provided by the district health department while the mall management is providing it's infrastructure to facilitate people," he said.

Meanwhile, the health department said that more such vaccination sites will be set up in malls on Sohna Road, Golf Course Road, MG Road and also in Old Gurugram.

“Our aim to increase vaccination sessions in Gurugam in collaboration with district administration. We are, perhaps, the first in the country to set up vaccination in malls, condominiums, offices and industrial units,” Virender Yadav, chief medical officer (CMO), Gurugram said.

"The alarming spike in Covid cases in the country has made us realise that the virus can only be defeated with solidarity and shared dedication. We care for our clients, associates and employees, this camp will ensure that we are committed towards the health and safety of all during these volatile times,” said, Vineet Taing, President Vatika Business Centre.
