Covid vaccination to be free in govt hospitals, says AAP

As education and health will be the focal expanses for the budget 2021-22, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government will announce free covid vaccination in government hospitals, a Delhi government official said on Sunday.

The Government is also undergoing a brain storming session for the master plan to make Delhi’s per capita income equivalent to Singapore’s by 2047 on the 100th anniversary of India’s freedom.

Focusing on education, the Delhi government will bring a proposal in the legislative assembly for the set-up of new Sainik Schools. If sources are to be believed, the government is ready for the proposal, the announcements on these subjects are likely in the budget session starting from Monday.

Moreover, to make easy life for its citizen, the government in coming years will emphasis on improvement in economic condition by enhancing the businesses and industries in the national capital with the induction of people friendly policies.

A senior government official on the condition of anonymity also said that Delhi government will also focus on the infrastructure.

“Keeping health and mental health on top priority, Kejriwal government will also promote Yoga at large scale.  A dedicated team will work on this. The team will reach at every Mohalla and house to educate residents on Yoga,” a government official added.

 Meanwhile, from this academic session Delhi government is al so introducing Desh Bhakti curriculum from classes of KG to VII aiming to imparting a sense of pride for the nation and developing respect for constitutional values among students.

The budget session of Delhi assembly will begin from March 8 and the Delhi government is likely to announce budget 2021-22 on March 9 (Tuesday).

 The outcome budget, a document mapping performances and achievements during previous financial years 20210-21 will be presented on Monday besides the economic survey. The session will begin with the address of Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal’s speech and all necessary covid norms like social distancing and wearing mask will be followed in the session.

Last year, the government passed a Rs 65,000 Crore budget for 2020-21 and Rs 50 crore was set aside to deal with the Covid -19 pandemic.
