Covid19: 24 new cases, 67 recoveries in U’khand

The State Health department reported 24 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 67 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Thursday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.

The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,307 while a total of 3,28,371 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7366 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.93.

The State Health department reported five new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, four each from Almora and Haridwar, two each from Bageshwar, Chamoli, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar and one each from Pithoragarh, Tehri and Uttarkashi. No new cases of the disease were reported from Champawat, Pauri and Rudraprayag districts on the day. The state now has 533 active cases of Covid 19. Dehradun with 253 cases is at top of the table of active cases while Pithoragarh is at second spot with 58 active cases.

The State reported two new cases of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on Thursday. A total of 563 patients of Black Fungus have been reported till date in the state and out of them 126 have died. In the ongoing vaccination drive 1,00,281 people were vaccinated in 722 sessions held on Thursday in different parts of the state.
