With a view to augment the credit off-take to all round economic growth of the country a month-long Credit Outreach Campaign is being organised in all the 52 districts covering 313 blocks in Madhya Pradesh from October 16 to November 15, 2021 under the aegis of State Level Banker’s Committee (SLBC) as per direction of Department of Financial Services, Government of India.
During the campaign Public Sector Banks will actively reach to their customers and make concerted efforts towards sanctioning of loans as per prudential norms, opening of accounts along with enrolments under PM Jan Suraksha schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana, Aadhar and Mobile seeding of the accounts and popularizing BHIM app, e-RUPI etc. This was stated by Shri Umesh Kumar Pandey, Chief General Manager, SBI Bhopal Circle while inaugurating the Credit Outreach Campaign of SBI in Chhindwara.
During the campaign loans worth Rs 83 lakhs were sanctioned/disbursed under various Government Sponsored Schemes such as PM Svanidhi, PMEGP and NRLM. Death claim amount to survivors of the deceased covered under Social Security schemes of Government of India worth Rs 6 lakhs was also disbursed in the programme.
On this occasion, on the spot assistance from the CSPs was provided to the aspirants for opening the account and enrolment under social security schemes. During the campaign the farmers were educated for keeping their loan accounts regular and coverage of notified crops under PMFBY. Pandey honoured the farmers who promptly repaid their loans within the stipulated time limit. On this occasion Omprakash, Regional Manager, RBO Chhindwara was also present. The program was well attended by the public including farmers.
