The Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCL) and NABARD kick-started a skill training programme on Friday for the youths of Sundargarh district, with an aim to make the local youths employable. 60 boys and girls from Rajgangpur and Lanjiberna area have been enrolled in the first phase of the programme.
Shakti Prasanna Mahapatra from NABARD, Sundargarh, graced the occasion as chief guest along with Unit Head, DCBL Rajgangpur Lokesh Kumar Bahety and Head - Mines, Lanjibarna Limestone Saroj Kumar Rout as guests of honour.
Chief guest Mahapatra congratulated the 60 youths for their hard work, dedication and zeal to move towards a bright future. Rout underscored the need for such a programme to address the unemployment problem of Sundargarh district.
The enrolled youths will be trained in Assistant Electrician and CRM Domestic Non Voice trades at Rajgangpur center of Dalmia Bharat Foundation’s Dalmia Institute of Knowledge and Skill Harnessing (DIKSHa). Duration of the training programme is 3 months.
