Dejected man kills self, wife sets self ablaze

Dejected over wife’s leaving a 26-year-old man committed suicide and later wife attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze at Mata Mandir area, condition of woman is critical while a suicide note has been found claiming wife’s cheating behind his suicide.

According to police, the deceased Akshay Somkunwar was declared dead when he was rushed to a nearby hospital after he was found hanging. Police were informed and based on the receipt a team reached and started investigation.

In the morning, next wife who left her few days ago returned home and set herself ablaze, she was rushed to hospital where her condition is reportedly critical.

The two were in relationship and got married around 7 years ago which went for years and recently wife left Akshay few days ago. She was not willing to return after which Akshay silted his wrist and informed her and she returned, this time she stayed for 3-4 days and left house with her four year old son after which Akshay committed suicide on Thursday at his house.

On Friday morning wife returned and set her ablaze on the other floor of the house. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.

Police said that the suicide note has mention of his wife who cheated him and left him. He wanted to live with his wife but she failed to stay in the relationship and cheated. Family members have told the police that before suicide he was facing depression and discussed problem which he was facing.
