Delhi Odias seek help from Naveen

Tuesday, 04 May 2021 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

With the Covid-19 situation worsening in New Delhi, Odias living in the national capital have urged Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to provide necessary assistance to them, especially those who are infected. They have requested Patnaik to provide oxygen cylinders, which are scarce in Delhi, and other relevant kits required for the Covid-19 treatment.

In a letter to Patnaik, Delhi Prabasi Odia Mahamanch director Gobardhan Dhal has urged for immediate assistance for the Odias in Delhi. The letter mentioned that Delhi is battling with the worst pandemic situation amid a complete collapse of health infrastructure and Odia people who need immediate medical emergency are struggling to get a bed or admission at hospitals. If the Odisha Government sends minimum 200 oxygen cylinders, regulators and kits through the Odisha Bhawan, they can be made available to the needy so that many lives can be saved, Dhal said.
