At least 1,141 fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported in the national Capital while the positivity rate stood at 1.59 per cent.
According to the health bulletin released by the Government, 71,853 tests were conducted, including 47,917 RTPCR/CBNAAT/True Nat tests.
There are 14,581 active cases and 7,111 of them are in home isolation. The number of cumulative cases stands at 14 lakh and the death toll is at 23,951. Over 13 lakh people have either recovered or have been discharged. Of the 25,032 hospital beds for coronavirus patients in the city, 18,995 are vacant, it stated.
The lowest positivity rate has provided much needed relief to the people who have been fighting the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is the third consecutive day when the daily cases count has stood below the 1,500-mark.
On Thursday, 1,072 cases and 117 deaths were recorded, while the positivity rate had dipped to 1.53 per cent, the health bulletin stated.
