The Odisha Dental Doctors’ Association has written to the State Government offering their services in the time of Covid crisis in return of minimum wage provided to skilled labourers.
The association has submitted a list of 50 of its members, who are in bare need of employment. In its letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik with copies to Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra,
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra and Director Health Services Bijay Mahapatra, the association has urged them to consider the economic conditions and unemployment of dental surgeons and engage them in the fight against Covid-19.
Association general secretary Dr Priya Ranjan Samal has appealed to the Government to consider their request on an urgent basis.
