Devotees bid adieu to Goddess Saraswati

Saraswati Puja was celebrated with much fanfare at Greater Noida by the residents of La Residentia society. People, especially students worship Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and knowledge on this occasion.

The puja was organized following social distancing norms in which people participated extensively in painting competitions and cultural programs. Rupam Varma, one of the organisers informed that Basant Panchami marks the beginning of the spring and conclusion of the winter and all the residents including children participated in puja with great zeal. The idol was immersed in Hindon River, she said.

Worshippers offered 'Pushpanjali' (floral offering) to the Goddess of Learning amid chanting of hymns.
