One of the famous diagnostic labs of Dhanbad Clinical lab was sealed by district administration for violation of the disaster Management Act.
Deputy commissioner US Singh on Thursday had ordered closure of diagnostic centres in the district for three days in order to check spread of covid in the district.
It had come to fore that the diagnostic centres though were holding CT scan and xray of positive patients too but were not reporting to the health department. The order was given so that the centres may be sanitized and proper details of positive patients be collected.
The diagnostic centre was open in violation to the order.
The Deputy commissioner conducted raids with police and health officials and after initial checking ordered sealing of the lab immediately.
Talking to media persons, the DC said, the owner of the lab has been detained and FIR of violation of disaster Management act is to be filed against the owners of the diagnostic Centre. The bank More police took the owner of the diagnostic centre to bank more police station, following the directive of the DC.
Meanwhile , with the rise in the number of Covid cases in Dhanbad, there happens to be a day in conducting a corona test at the SNMMMCH here.
Reports suggest over 5000 samples collected from different locations await tests here due to shortage of manpower at the lab.
SNMMMCH principal Shailendra Kumar said ,steps are on to arrange manpower for holding the RT-PcR tests . District administration and the government have been informed of the situation.
HE expected that backlogs would be cleared within the next two to three days .
