The trade centre of western Odisha, Jharsuguda, is being connected day by day to main cities and metros of the country on sky.
At present, after direct flights connected to Delhi, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad and Raipur, Jharsuguda is going to be connected with Mumbai and Bengaluru from January 12.State Health Minister and local MLA Naba Kishore Das has raised demand for direct flights to Visakhapatnam from VSS Airport, Jharsuguda. Inviting attention of Chief Minister, Das stressed on need for direct flight to Visakhapatnam and saidCivil Aviation Ministry and Airport Authority of India would also be requested to give necessary approval for same.
While most of people from western Odisha are visiting Visakhapatnam for their health needs, direct flights will be of great help to them, Das told.
