A drunk man driving an Innova SUV caused a series of accidents on the Vani Vihar-Baramunda stretch of NH -16 damaging several cars and motorbikes on Wednesday.
Police detained him and an associate and interrogated them. Both were heavily drunk, police said.The SUV first hit a motorbike at Vani Vihar Square and moved ahead on the busy NH. Then, it hit three bikers on the over bridge near Fire Station Square at Baramunda while it speeded up in a bid to escape the police interceptor vehicle chasing it.
