Rich tributes were paid to eminent writer Manoj Das by prominent NROs of United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Dubai.
The Global Odias for Odisha’s Development (GOOD) organised acondolence meeting on April 29. The attendees spoke about Das’ lifeand times and his literary accomplishments. A special book readingsession was also organised.
Prominent speakers were Capt Soumyaranjan Patnaik, president of ashipping company, Priyadarshee Panigrahi, general manager of a largeconsumer goods company, Rajesh Tripathy, general manager of a leadingglobal business school and Prashant Meher, poet-writer and ITprofessional. One of the highlights of the evening was recitation of PrashantMeher’s specially composed poem in memory of Das.
