Vedanta-Electrosteel (ESL) inaugurated the T-10 cricket tournament for its employees on Saturday. The company’s senior management officials bid for the teams and bought two teams. Each owner got a chance to buy two teams and was given 20 points to buy the team, informed a PR official of ESL.
The tournament will begin on 18 January 2021. It will have a total of 20 teams and includes 16 men’s and 4 women’s teams. The game will be a day and night tournament on a knock out basis, said the official.
Speaking on the occasion CEO ESL Pankaj Malhan greeted the ESL employees for the New Year, Lohri, Pongal, and Sankranti. “I am surprised; the Cricket Organizing Committee team developed an app in a very short span of time that would know the score and result of the match,” he said.
