EMIL donates digital X-Ray machine, pathology equipments to Buxwaha CHC

To augment the healthcare infrastructure and improve access to medical facilities in Buxwaha, Essel Mining and Industries Limited (EMIL) donated a digital X-Ray machine, Computer Radiographic System (CRS), blood analyzer along with support equipment to Community Health Center (CHC) at Buxwaha, in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. CHC Buxwaha is a pivotal health facility in the region for a population of 1.25 lakhpeople.

As part of its community focused endeavor, EMIL also donated hematology analyzer, bio-chemistry semi-auto analyzer, blood pressure measurement devices, and mobile operation theater light to support the medical procedure.

Further, to strengthen the local healthcare system and improve the ability of medical staff to manage the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, several other equipment including air conditioners, water cooler, water filters, refrigerator, wheel chairs and furniture were also handed over to the CHC in the presence of eminent dignitaries Mr. Pradyuman Singh Lodhi, MLA, Malhara and Chairman Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supply Corporation holding status of Cabinet Minister; Mr. Rahul Siladia, SDM Bijawar; Dr. Lalit Upadhyaya, Block Medical Officer, Buxwaha and other local administration officers.

Earlier, for blood tests and x-rays, the local residents had to travel for around 60 – 90 kms to Chhatarpur, Damoh or Sagar. With new facilities, community from villages around Buxwaha can now get important diagnosis done in their local area thus saving precious time and expenses.

MLA Pradyuman Singh Lodhi referencing Gandhi Jayanti said, “the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. This kind gesture of EMIL paves a long path of welfare to come in future for Buxwaha”.

While appreciating the community efforts of the Company and its contribution to the welfare of the villagers, MLA Pradyuman Singh Lodhi also recognized the need for ambulances at the health centre.
