A film based on the life of Congress leader and former UP Chief Minister Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna would be telecast on the late leader’s birth anniversary on April 25. A freedom fighter and a Congress stalwart, Bahuguna passed away in 1989.
The film titled ‘Himalaya Putra Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna’ will be telecast by Doordarshan at 7 am on Doordarshan (DD National) and at 9 pm on Doordarshan Bharati. On this occasion, the late leader’s daughter and BJP MP from Prayagraj, Rita Bahuguna Joshi thanked the Union government for the film. She said that the film on the life and struggles of Late Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna will help in understanding his multifaceted personality and will be an inspiration for the younger generation.
