On the occasion of fourth annual ceremony of the Prachina Loka Nrutya Sangha, a grand felicitation programme was organised here at Talcher to promote and restore the ancient folk dances and culture those are gradually passing into oblivion.
On the occasion, the General Manager, Hingula Area, MCL, joined as chief guest. He said that it was a very rare event to to felicitate so many artists of ancient cultural troupes.
Senior journalist Dhiramohan Ray joining as chief speaker said praised the effort of Prachina Loka Nrutya Sangha for its contribution to promoting ancient art and culture. Social worker Bibhutibhusan Sahu, president of Suravi Mahila Mandal of MCL Dali Mishra and Dr Sasmita Sahu were the other guests. Over 60 folk artists were felicitated with flower bouquets, utariyas and certificates. The programme was presided over by general secretary of the organisation Soubhagya Chandra Nayak.
