Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that forests are the pride of Madhya Pradesh, our forests are full of natural beauty and make the State pollution free. It is everyone's responsibility that better efforts should be made for the conservation of forests. Tribal society and forests are closely related to each other. Conservation of forests will be done only with the protection of tribal community. Governor Patel was discussing with the officials regarding the progress of development works and schemes at Raj Bhavan Pachmarhi on Friday.
Patel said that in order to increase the production and maintain the fertility of the land, it is necessary that crops should be cultivated in a cyclic order. More and more modern technology should be used in the agriculture sector. Inspire the farmer brothers for this.
Patel said that plantation of medicinal plants should be done in maximum forest and tourist areas in the plantation work being done by the Forest Department. The coordination of the concerned department with the forest department is necessary in the schemes being implemented for the tribal community, so that the schemes can be implemented effectively.
The Governor said that children should be motivated to take up higher education. Patel said that training centers should be set up for training the local people in different areas of employment. Efforts should also be made to benefit more and more local people through employment fairs.
In the meeting, the Governor was given detailed information about the works conducted by senior officers of Public Works Department, Forest Department, Satpura Tiger Reserve, Tourism Development Corporation, Cantonment Board etc.
