Kolar police has nabbed four persons from different areas on Sunday and seized 142 litres of liquor which was scheduled to be sold at higher rates during the ongoing Covid curfew.
Acting on a tip-off, a man was nabbed near Hinotia Alam road at a hotel owned by Sunil Yadav who was identified as Ravi Meena on the charge of carrying liquor bottles and selling illegally.
Police said that the accused revealed that he, along with his aide Sachin Ahirwar, is involved in manufacturing country-made liquor and have four canes. Sachin sells the manufactured liquor and was selling near culvert at Mansarowar College.
Based on the information, police nabbed Sachin and seized country made liquor which was 68 litres in total. Four canes were seized each carrying 15 litre while 8 ltrs was seized in addition to the four canes. The liquor was worth Rs 6,800 which was seized from Sachin and Ravi.
Meanwhile, two boot legers were nabbed near 610 Quarters on Sunday and recovered 74 litres of country-made liquor from their possession.
