Girl tied in chains, VHP activists set her free

In a bizarre incident of superstition, a young woman was found chained in Karbala on the banks of Kharkai River under Bistupur police station area. The activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad reached the spot and set her free from the chain.

She was handed over to the police of Bistupur. The girl’s father said that the daughter is mentally ill. She has been overpowered by a ghost. For this reason, she was brought to Karbala to set her free from black magic. She has been here for the past one month. Though she was treated by many doctors, the daughter did not recover. Earlier, the younger daughter was also brought here. The daughter recovered. For this reason, the second daughter was also brought here. At the same time, the girl kept saying that she was kept here forcibly. The father also presented the doctor’s prescription. At present, Bistupur police have sent the girl to Sadar Hospital. Her medical examination will also be done. Bistupur police station in-charge Vishnu Prasad Raut is currently investigating the police matter. The girl’s father said that his daughter is mentally ill. The girl is a resident of Parsudih in Jamshedpur.
