Girls outshine boys in CBSE X results

Girls have once again outshined boys in the Class X CBSE results, which were declared on Tuesday. Most of the schools in State Capital have achieved cent per cent results. Shreya Bhaskar and Arshia Hussain, of DPS Ranchi pronounced their presence in the success-chart of school by scoring 99.6 per cent and holding rank one. Whereas, Dhriti Baranwal, Snigdha Saumya and Subham Pratik who are the second rank holders from the school, made their alma mater proud by scoring 99.4 per cent marks. The third rank holder from the school was MD Afanul Haque with 99.2 per cent to his credit.  At DPS Ranchi out of 353 students that appeared in the examination, 218 students got 90 per cent and above.

Similarly, at JVM Shyamali Sandeepa Sarkar has secured 99.4 per cent, followed by Vaibhav Raj securing 99.4 per cent. Ansh Chandra has secured 99 per cent marks. At JVM Shyamali 344 students appeared in the examination out of which all have passed the test. At JVM Shyamali 105 students have secured more than 90 per cent marks while 207 students have secured more than 80 per cent marks.

At DAV Kapil Dev Public School Kadru, the topper student is Samir Prasad securing 99.57 percent followed by Shrishti Shree securing 99.38 per cent. At DAV Kapil Dev Public School 198 students had appeared in Class X examination out of which all students have secured first division. At Kapil Dev Public School 112 students have secured more than 90 per cent marks, while 175 students have received distinction in the examination.

The students of DAV Hehal too have performed brilliantly in the class X examination. 457 candidates had appeared in the examination from school, out of which all students have passed with good marks with 100per cent result. In the school, Vansh Kukkar and Aman Kumar got 99per cent and second place Kumar Saurav and Jaya Kumari got 98.8per cent and third place Abhigyan Srivastava got 98per cent. DAV Hehl’s students Vansh Kakkar and Aman Kumar have scored 99 percentile. Both became the toppers of the school.

The students of Sarala Birla Public School too have performed well in the examination. Ashi Gupta, Ayushi Gopalka, Kamal Khaitan have secured 97 per cent marks in the examination. At Sarala Birla Public School 101 students have got 90 per cent marks, while 881 students have received 90 per cent marks in aggregate.

Students of Surendranath Centenary School too have secured cent per cent results. Out of 211 students, 66 students secured more than 90 per cent marks. Rishi Agarwal became topper of the school by securing 98.6 per cent marks. His subject wise marks are as follows:-English- 98, Hindi -98, Maths – 100, Science- 98, Social Science- 99 IT.

The students of Oxford Public School, Ranchi too achieved grand success in AISSE 2021. Rahul Sharma and Tridisha Sikdar became the toppers with 99 per cent. Disha and Mohit Kumar became the 2nd and 3rd toppers with 98.8per cent and 98.4per cent respectively. Out of total 301 students, 107 students scored more than 90per cent and217 students passed with distinction. In CBSE Patna zone which comprises Bihar and Jharkhand the pass percentage of students is 99.66 per cent. As per reports, over 20 lakh students appeared in the CBSEClass 10 examination across the country.

This year, the CBSE Class 10 board exams were cancelled in view of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Further, the CBSE Class 10 results are being calculated using the evaluation criteria set by the board. For Class 10 students, the standard 80:20 marking criteria is being followed this year, where 80 per cent weightage is for unit tests and pre-boards while20 per cent is for practical and project work.
