Goutam State topper in JEE Main exam

Goutam Das is the Odisha topper of the JEE (Main)-2021, the results of which were declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday. He has secured 99.9990357per cent in the entrance test.

Hailing from Baleswar, Goutam was studying at the SAI International School, Bhubaneswar. Tanya Dixit is the State topper in female category with 99.8per cent.

As many as 44 candidates have scored 100 percentile in the entrance exam while 18 shared the top rank.  The JEE Main was conducted four times this year. The ranks of the candidates have been released taking into account the best of the four NTA scores. The exams were held in 13 languages, English, Hindi, Gujarati , Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. More than 9.34 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.
