Along with promoting new investments in the State, the State Government is committed to solve the problems of those investors who are already invested in Jharkhand. Secretary, Industries Department, Pooja Singhal has said that in order to give priority to the investors in Jharkhand, a new industrial and promotion policy has been formulated in the State. It is the endeavour of the Government that the applications of all the investors are executed in time under the Single Window System.

The Secretary said that it is the priority of the department and the Government to clear the pending applications for the establishment of industries in the State. She was holding a meeting with the office bearers of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Jharkhand Small Scale Industries at Hotel Radisson Blu in the capital on Thursday.

Singhal has assured the entrepreneurs that under the directions of the Chief Minister, major changes have been made in the policies of labour and industry of the State. The government will also soon prepare a Rural Industries Policy, so that steps can be taken towards the establishment of agro-based industries in rural areas.

She said that every month she would hold review meetings with the officials of the departments concerned so that entrepreneurs do not face any problem related to setting up any kind of industries in the State and entrepreneurs would also be able to participate in that review meeting.

The Industries Secretary has directed the officers of various departments to ensure the execution of pending applications without delay. The execution of pending applications for forest clearance as well as pollution no-objection certificate should be ensured. She also said that the Jharkhand Industries Promotion Society would be formed soon, through which the problems faced by the entrepreneurs would be solved in time. Addressing the entrepreneurs, he said that industrial areas have been notified in Ormanjhi, Deoghar and Dhanbad and land is also available for the same. The government has already taken steps to ensure this. Entrepreneurs do not have to make rounds of offices for the establishment of industries.

To revive the closed or weak industries in the State, soon a list will be prepared by identifying such industries and possible options will be considered.

President of FJCCI Praveen Chhabra said that the efforts of the government are commendable. In the meeting with the officials of various departments for the establishment of industries, talks were held in a clear and transparent manner, which proves that the department and the present government are sensitive about the establishment of industries in the state.
