Uttarakhand governor, lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh said that it is better to see reality on the ground rather than looking at the situation through photographs. He said this after arriving here on a two-day tour of Pauri. The governor said that he wants to meet the public with officers to know their problems so that efforts can be made for better. Singh had recently undertaken an aerial survey to assess the damage caused by the recent spell of heavy rains earlier this month. During his district level visit, he wants to assess the situation at the ground level. Singh said that he is looking forward to meeting the general public, adding that those unable to meet him can either meet him at Raj Bhawan or communicate their grievance by letter.
