Hafizul Hassan’s triumph certain from Madhupur, says Oraon

Sunday, 11 April 2021 | PNS | Ranchi

After returning from three days of rigorous tour of Madhupur State Assembly constituency, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) Chief Rameshwar Oraon reached the State Capital on Saturday. He said that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress’ alliance candidate will definitely win the bypoll necessitated in Madhupur due to the former Minister and MLA, Hazi Hussain Ansari’s death.

JMM fielded Ansari’s son Hafizul Hassan from the seat against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Ganga Narayan Singh. Hafizul is Minister in the Chief Minister, Hemant Soren led coalition Government in the State and it is his maiden contest from the seat.

Various Congress leaders are camping in Madhupur to ensure victory of Ansari from the seat. Apart from Oraon Agriculture Minister, Badal is also frequently visiting Madhupur to maintain solidarity of the alliance in the State. Congress has constructed a war room to monitor campaigning in the seat.

After returning from Madhupur, Oraon talked to media persons. In response to a question asked by media persons about BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on the change of government in the State when the election results are out on May 2, Oraon said that Nishikant Dubey, who is known for the bigotry, should first think that he himself will win the election next time or not. He said that the coalition government is not formed by his grace, the people have given an absolute majority to the Congress-JMM-RJD for a full five years therefore and the State Government will complete its tenure comfortably.

JPCC Spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey said that there is no doubt about the victory of JMM candidate and Minister Hafeezul Hasan in Madhupur. He said that the Chief Minister has made Hafizul a Minister without winning the election and the public has made up their mind that they will elect him as their MLA for the next four years.

JPCC Spokesperson Lal Kishorenath Shadeo said that in the course of his visit, JPCC Chief held dozens of meetings with all the block presidents, officials of Morcha-organizations and senior leaders-workers of Madhupur assembly constituency, and also addressed many small and big electoral meetings. Oraon also addressed election meetings with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, participated in public relations campaigns along with many other leaders, MLAs and senior leaders, he added.

“The victory of the JMM-alliance candidate in the Madhupur by-election is now just a formality. On April 17, more and more voters will walk out of their homes and Hafeezul Hasan will win by a margin of record votes,” said Shahdeo.

JPCC Spokesperson, Rajesh Gupta said that as the polling day draws near, the situation of BJP's candidate is getting worse; this effect was also seen in the public relations campaign of BJP leader Raghubar Das today, BJP workers have given a clear indication about the election result by raising slogans of Raghubar Go Back.
