Over half a dozen miscreants were booked for attacking a mechanic with sharp edged weapons at Semra Kalan; victim opposed spitting water at his shop.
Dinesh Rai was attacked by sharp edged weapon in his head by over six armed miscreants who returned to settle score with Dinesh who objected after they spit water his shop earlier. The victim was rushed to hospital where his condition is reportedly critical.
Police said that earlier in the day accused Aman, Devendra, Monu and three others came to victim’s shop and asked for water and during drinking of water they spit at his shop which the victim opposed but accused went infuriated and had a fight with victim which was pacified by locals.
After few hours accused returned armed and attacked Dinesh with sharp edged weapons, he was attacked in his head and sustained multiple injuries.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC. Police suspect that the victim and accused have old dispute but the issue remained unclear and would be investigated in the further investigation.
The victim is undergoing treatment and is under observation.
