Featuring the beautiful and enchanting imitation jewellery and materials from across the State the handloom and handicraft exhibition ‘Adhunik Abhushan’ concluded here on Sunday at Gauhar Mahal.
The exhibition cum sale was all about imitation jewllery and handloom stuff put up by as many as 20 self help groups from across the country.
Set in the rustic backdrop of Gauhar Mahal, the exhibition cum sale featured the most adorable imitation jewellery and handloom stuff. As the name suggessts Adhunik Abhushan the vendors had showcased their creativity at the exhibition.
There were jewelleries of laak, traditional jewelleries, metals, and also regional jewelleries, mesmerising the shoppers.
Other than the most renowned dress materials of the State including Chanderi and Maheshwari, one bought at the huge collection of handloom materials made up of jute, paper-mache and much more.
A wonderful collection designed in different patterns and prints were put up. There were printed materials beautifully embroidered with Batik Print, Dabu Print, Hand-Block Print and one of the most renowned and loved in all seasons, Bagh Print there.
The mela was a huge hit among the shopoholics of the city. It evoked such a good response that it was extened for a week and even on the last day experiences a huge foot fall of the handloom lovers.
