Haryana CM inaugurates STP pilot project

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday inaugurated first of its kind 10 KLD STP plant at Papiha Park, Fatehabad in collaboration with Japanese company Daiki Axis India.

The sewerage water treatment plant is set up at a cost of Rs 21 lakh.

The Chief Minister while congratulating the citizens of Fatehabad said that this sewerage treatment plant has been established as a pilot project. The State Government will consider setting up such projects for water conservation and reuse of water across the state after studying the same, he said.

 He said that this year, the State Government has set a target of reusing 25 percent treated water and this scheme is proving to be effective in horticulture, industries and thermal plants. In next year, 60 percent of the water will be reused. Budget has been arranged for this, he added.

Khattar said that the State Government has made several schemes for water conservation and sewerage treatment plant.

Different technologies are being used in the state. The sewerage treatment plant set up at Fatehabad is a new project, in which new technology has been used and the benefit of which can be taken in the future, he said.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that with the support of Japanese company Haryana will increase their target and work together on the water treatment plant. The company will be given all possible support for such tasks, he asserted.
