In yet another day of major spike in COVID-19 cases, Haryana on Wednesday reported 2366 positive cases and 11 fatalities. The state’s tally now stood at 304638 which included 15237 active cases.
11 deaths have also been reported in the last 24 hours taking the total toll to 3129 in Haryana. Two deaths were reported in Yamunanagar while one death each was reported in Ambala, Kaithal, Jind, Fatehabad, Bhiwani, Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Faridabad and Karnal.
“Out of 2366 fresh cases, a maximum of 611 were reported in Gurugram followed by 280 in Faridabad. 222 fresh positive cases were reported in Karnal, 170 cases in Sonepat, 129 in Ambala, 112 in Panipat, 141 in Yamunanagar, 112 in Jind, 166 in Kurukshetra, 107 in Panchkula among other cases,” according to the state Health Department’s evening bulletin.
A maximum of 3904 active cases were in Gurugram, which is the worst affected district in the state. There were 1795 active cases in Karnal and 1332 in Ambala. With continuous surge in Covid cases, the recovery rate of COVID-19 patients declined to 93.94 percent.
