Six more people died from coronavirus in Haryana on Saturday as 279 fresh cases pushed the State’s infection count to 2,64,721, according to a Health Department bulletin.
So far, 2,949 people have succumbed to the disease in the state, it said. On Saturday, one death each was reported from Gurugram, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Sirsa and Jhajjar districts. Gurgram reported the maximum 88 infections followed by 37 in Faridabad, the bulletin said. Currently, the state has 2,563 active cases while 2,59,209 patients have so far been discharged after treatment, with the recovery rate hovering around 97.92 per cent.
