Heavy rainfall in 24 hrs in parts of State, warning given

The spell of heavy rainfall in the evening continued to be witnessed in the State capital while heavy rainfall was witnessed at several places in the state in the past 24 hours.

The Met department issued warning of Very heavy rainfall would be witnessed in Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat districts while warning of heavy rainfall and thundery activities would be witnessed in Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Hoshangabad, Betul, Sagar, Rewa and Satna districts.

Warning of thundery activities and lightening has been issued for Shahdol, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior and Chambal divisions and Singrauli, Sidhi, Katni, Panna, Damoh, Tikamgarh, Bhopal, Rajgarh and Harda districts.

Devri and Nasrullahganj recorded 11 cm of rainfall, Rehli and Rehti recorded 8 cm of rainfall, Raisen recorded 6 cm of rainfall, Timarni, Budni, Itarsi, Bhopal, Niwadi recorded 5 cm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Sheopur was the hottest place at 42.6 degree Celsius on Saturday. Guna recorded day temperature 41.6 degree Celsius.

Bhopal recorded day temperature at 36.9 degree Celsius. Weather conditions remained cloudy on Saturday and heavy downpour was witnessed in the evening.

During the day hot and humid weather conditions prevailed. The cloudy conditions would be witnessed on Sunday.

Bhopal and Hoshangabad divisions recorded significant dip in the temperatures.

Most of the places in Sagar, Bhopal and Hoshangabad divisions recorded rainfall.
