43 more people succumbed to COVID-19 as Himachal reported 2630 fresh positive cases on Monday.
A day before, the state had reported the highest single-day fatalities at 44 and 2453 fresh COVID-19 cases.
As per the health bulletin, the state’s caseload reached 107121 while the death toll stood at 1526.
There were 21788 active cases in the hill state till the evening. A maximum of 16 people succumbed to the virus in Kangra district in the last 24 hours. Six deaths were reported in Hamirpur, five deaths in Solan, four each in Una and Shimla, three each in Mandi and Sirmaur, one each in Chamba and Kinnaur.
Of the fresh cases, the worst affected district-Kangra reported the highest number of 717 infections. 400 cases were reported in Bilaspur, 399 in Shimla, 256 in Una, 252 in Sirmaur, 204 in Chamba, 132 in Hamirpur, 108 in Solan among other cases.
Out of total 21788 active cases, Kangra reported the highest number of 5384 active cases followed by 2967 cases in Solan, 2336 in Sirmaur.
1526 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 83679 in the state, the bulletin stated.
Till now, over 15.39 lakh samples have been tested in the state. 8511 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
