Hindi Diwas celebrated with fervour at CCL

Hindi Diwas was observed with zest and fervour at Central Coalfields Limited.

Various programmes were held on the occasion at CCL HQ, Ranchi and the operational areas of the company. CMD, CCL PM Prasad administered an oath to the employees to propagate the use of Hindi on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Prasad motivated the employees to maximise the use of Hindi in the official works. He stated that Rajbhasha Department, Ministry of Home has given certain targets to the company and everybody should work together for attainment of the desired target.

An Audio-Visual Message of Home Minister Amit Shah was also aired on the occasion. In his message Shri Shah said that the the harmony of mother tongue and national language is integral to India’s progress. He further added that Hindi is a part of Indian Culture. Director Technical (Operations), VK Srivastava read the message of Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi. In his message Joshi said that Hindi is a scientific language. He further stressed that everybody should try to use Hindi in the official communications, meetings etc.

Message of Chairman Coal India Pramod Agrawal was also read on the occasion. Agrawal wished everybody on the Hindi Diwas and said that all efforts should be taken to promote the use of Hindi.       

A webinar was also organized on the occasion in which Professor Hindi, Kirorimal College Dr Namdev and HoD, Hindi M.E.S college, Kerala Dr A.S. Suresh presented their views on the topic “Hindi Ka Bhartiya Paridrishyaa: Uttar se Dakshin Tak.” Employees from the different departments and units of the company joined the webinar virtually.

Central Coalfields is organizing various programs and competitions during the entire month of September to mark the occasion. The prize distribution ceremony of the competitions will be held on 30/09/2021.

The programme was attuned to COVID-19 protocols. Everybody present wore masks and practiced social distancing.  General Manager Rajbhasha Dr Ashok Kumar Singh and his team played an important role in the success of the programme.
