Himachal on Friday recorded the biggest single-day jump of 4190 Covid-19 cases and highest ever 56 fatalities that pushed the state’s cumulative tally to 122906 and the death toll to 1780. A day before, the state had reported 3929 cases and 45 fatalities.
As per the state’s health bulletin, there were 29513 active cases in the hill state till the evening. Of the fresh cases, Kangra reported the highest 1605 infections. 518 cases were reported in Mandi, 482 in Sirmaur, 317 in Bilaspur, 300 in Hamirpur, 281 in Shimla, 267 in Chamba, 230 in Solan, 119 in Una among other cases.
Out of over 29000 active cases, Kangra reported the highest number of 8237 active cases followed by 3709 by Solan and 3054 in Mandi, as per the bulletin. 2363 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 91573 in Himachal, the bulletin stated.
The State Government has imposed a ten-day Corona curfew from May 7 to 17.
