IGIA police unit to get offs on birthdays, anniversaries

The Delhi Police Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) unit has granted duty leave to its men and officers on their birthday and wedding anniversary.

Vikram Porwal, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), IGI unit in his order issued on July 20, stated that on the birthday and wedding anniversary of an individual officer posted in this unit, may be given duty rest on that day so that the official can celebrate/enjoy the day with family.

“All Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACsP), Station House Officer (SHOs), Inspectors, must comply with this order in true letter and spirit,” DCP stated in his order.

“A register to this effect be maintained and necessary entry to be made in the register that the individual has given the desired duty rest,” the DCP further stated in his order.
