Illicit relationship was the reason behind murder of Ratlam district president of Bahujan Samaj Party two days ago at Bagedi river on Malodha Road in Bhatpachalana, said Superintendent of Police Satyendra Kumar Shukla while addressing media persons.
On Thursday, Samarth Chauhan, the district president of Bahujan Samaj Party Ratlam, was found brutally murdered near the Bagedi river on Malodha Road in Bhatpachalana.
The police had recovered the body lying in pool of blood of BSP leader Samarth Chauhan after the family members filed a missing report on the information.
SP Chouhan said that murder was done in such a way that it seemed that the reason for the murder could be illicit relations, money transactions and political rivalry and police started investigation on these angles.
During the investigation, when the police checked the call details of the deceased Samarth Chauhan, it was found that he had been messaged on WhatsApp from the number of a woman and was called to meet him on the banks of the Bagedi river at 11.30 in the night.
On this, when the police investigated the woman, it was found that Samarth Chauhan had an illicit relationship with the woman, to which the former lover of the woman had objections.
He had also stopped the deceased Samarth Chauhan for this and instructed him to stay away from the woman but Samarth did not agree.
The accused, the former lover of the woman, planned to kill Samarth and installed the woman's WhatsApp on his mobile and started messaging the deceased and called him to meet at night on the banks of the river Bagedi and killed Samarth Chauhan and dumped his body in the river.
