FIT India Cyclothon by ECR

Fit India Cyclothon was organized by East Central Railway under the “Fit India Movement” at Pataliputra Rail Complex, Patna under the leadership of General Manager Lalit Chandra Trivedi. The campaign was flagged off by Kaumudi Trivedi, President of ECR Women's Welfare Organization. All the officers and employees of ECR participated enthusiastically in this event. Speaking on the occasion, the GM said that the organization of the Fit India Cyclothon would serve the purpose of the Government of India and Fit India. This will send a message of fitness among the railwaymen. It is also an important initiative towards Green India. He said that all the officers and employees of RCR are very energetic and fitness conscious. In the present perspective, it is beneficial for every Indian citizen to take at least half an hour daily for their health under the principle of fitness dose half an hour daily.

Railway Ministry rolls out new iron ore policy

A new iron-ore policy governing allocation of rakes and transportation of iron-ore has been issued on date by Indian Railways. The aim of policy is to attune it to the present day needs of customers and assure them that Indian Railways is fully committed to meet the complete requirement of transportation of iron ore customers and provide total logistics support to steel industry to meet the competitive challenges domestically and globally. Production of steel is critically dependent on transportation of iron and other raw materials. The policy sets down clear guidelines on how to fully meet the requirement of customers by leveraging infrastructure facilities available at loading and unloading ends to the fullest. The new policy has been named as ‘Iron-ore Policy 2021’ and shall come into effect from 10.02.2021. The provisions of the new policy will be updated in the Rake Allotment System module by CRIS.

SBPS students shine at BB_ INFOTSAV

Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi was all in glory when its students brought laurels to school with their outstanding performance at BB_INFOTSAV 2K21, an inter school fest organized by Birla Bharati, Kolkata. The competition was held among the Sarala Birla group of schools located in the various states of India. The competition comprised of various activities which helped the students to showcase their creativity skills and imaginative thinking. Karan Dalania and Tejus Srivastava of class XI made us proud by securing 1stposition in the event Mind’s Eye in which a video clip was prepared by them using multimedia tools. Adarsh Upadhyay and Nitin Kumar Dubey of class XI added yet another feather in the school’s cap as they bagged the 1strunner-up prize in the event ‘Pytha-Goras’ in which he created a fully functional game Python framework and programming. Pranamya Adinath and Dhruv Garodia of class VIII also received 1strunner-up prize for the event ‘Beam me up’ by creating a story woven by them using MS Power Point exhibiting their creativity and imagination.

Blanket distribution by Mahila Samiti

Blankets were distributed among the personnel working in the "Surabhi" and "Swavalamban" centers operated by the Mahila Samiti, Bokaro. On this occasion, Vice President of Mahila Samiti,  Neelima Kushwaha, Shubhra Saha, Vandana Pandey, Member of Executive Committee and other members were present. It is noteworthy that the Mahila Samiti helps the needy section of the society by organizing such events from time to time for the needy people of Bokaro city.
