Hry Guv, CM extend Janmashtami greetings

Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar have extended their greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami and wished them  prosperity and happiness. Dattatraya said Lord Krishna worked for the entire humanity therefore, we should also follow his teachings and work for the welfare of the society.

Khattar said Lord Krishna had given the message of immortality  to Arjuna in Mahabharata war. This became the holy religious book  ‘Shrimad Bhagavad Gita’ which is a source of inspiration for entire humanity, he said.

Himachal Governor and CM felicitate people on Janmashtami

Shimla: Himachal Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have felicitated the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. Extending the best wishes on the occasion, Arlekar said the people should follow the path of virtue shown by Lord Krishna and strengthen the society and nation by contributing to the well-being of our people.

Thakur said the teachings and philosophy of Lord Krishna are more relevant in the present context and we all should follow them to lead a successful life.

Punjab Vidhan Sabha special session on Sept 3

Chandigarh: Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore has summoned the 15th Punjab Vidhan Sabha to meet for its 15th session (special) on Friday, September 3, at 10 am in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Hall, Vidhan Bhavan at Chandigarh, said an official spokesperson of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.

Punjab Govt transforms 13,225 schools

Chandigarh: Making relentless efforts to improve the quality of education and provide better infrastructure in the government schools, Punjab Government has, so far, converted 13,225 schools into smart schools. As a result, enrolment in government schools has been on the rise continually from last two years. Spokesperson said 13,225 schools have been converted into smart schools till date, since Education Minister Vjay Inder Singla had launched Smart School Policy in September 2019 aimed at uplifting school infrastructure and to bring revolutionary changes in the education sector.

Fortis organises skill-based workshop

Mohali: Fortis Hospital in collaboration with the Venous Association of India (VAI) (under the patronage of the Vascular Society for Limb Salvage) organized a hybrid (physical and virtual) skill-based workshop on the management of varicose veins and their advanced treatment options. The session was conducted by Dr Ravul Jindal, Director, Vascular Surgery, Fortis Hospital Mohali. and was a part of the 7th Endovascular & Ultrasound-guided Venous Intervention Course-2021.
