Women’s Day celebrated at ECR

Various functions of the railway system were executed by women railway personnel at various places in the Central Railway Headquarters and in all the divisions on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Monday. Along with this, a seminar on women's empowerment was also organized in the headquarters and divisions and women railway workers who did excellent work were also honoured. A grand ceremony and seminar was organized at the "Vaishali Auditorium" of ECR Headquarters, Hajipur. The ceremony was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the chief guest of ECR GM Lalit Chandra Trivedi, General Secretary of All India Railway Men's Federation, Shiv Gopal Mishra and President of ECR Women's Welfare Organization, Kaumudi Trivedi. On this occasion, CPO JKP, all high officials and women and male railway workers including Singh were present. On this occasion, Trivedi said that according to our tradition, where a woman is worshiped, there is a residence of God. Today women are walking step by step with men. All the other works including the station, control room and other railway works are being carried out efficiently by the railway personnel in East Central Railway.

 

Heritage Village museum, park inaugurated

ECR GM Lalit Chandra Trivedi on Monday inaugurated the 'Heritage Village' Rail Museum beautification and the newly developed park near the main gate. The special feature of the Beautified Rail Museum is that its beautification was completed in the Corona period from the railway's own resources. It may be noted that decades-old history and old heritage have been preserved by the East Central Railroad in the Rail Museum, in which old documents and rare photographs, clocks, bells, staff badges, steam engines etc. have been preserved. This Rail Museum will introduce the new generation to the glorious past of the railway system.

 

Women's Day at Bokaro Steel Plant

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the main function of International Women's Day was held in online mode at Bokaro Steel Plant in which  Amarendu Prakash, Director in-charge, was the chief guest. Executive Director (Medical and Health Services) Dr. AK Singh, Executive Director (Projects) and Additional Charge (Personnel and Administration) R Kushwaha, Executive Director (Materials Management) VK Pandey, Executive Director (works) AtanuBhowmik, Chief General Managers, Head of Department and women workers working in Bokaro Steel Plant were connected online in large numbers. Prakash congratulated women workers and said that development cannot be envisaged without the progress of women. The Chief Guest appreciated the contribution of women workers in the progress of Bokaro Steel Plant and said that women are proving their superiority with newness and new thinking in the field.

 

XISS celebrates International Women’s Day

The International Women’s Day celebrations remind us of the powerful human beings that women are. The problem of women is not just their, but of the entire society and we have to approach each one of those positively to help them out,” stated Dr. Joseph Marianus Kujur Director XISS. The International Women’s Day, which is observed on 8th March every year, was celebrated at Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi in the Fr. Michael Van Den Bogaert SJ Auditorium on Monday. The celebration took place in presence of Assistant Director Dr. Fr. Pradeep Kerketta Heads of all Programmes, esteemed faculty members and staffs of XISS.

 

Rotary Club organises medical camp  

Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West organised a medical camp in Nandup Village, near Jugsalai. The camp was organised under the leadership of club president Anjani Nidhi, club secretary Alpana Shukla and director - Project Positive Health Dr K.M. Gandhi. The camp was inaugurated by District Governor Elect Rotarian Pratim Banerjee. A total of 89 people had attended and benefitted from the camp. The team of doctors involved in the camp were Dr. Eric Lieu, Dr. Ruben Lieu, Dr. Amit Mukherjee, Dr. K.M. Gandhi along with specialists from Aarogyam and Poornima Netralaya.

 

Covid vaccination by ECR

ECR has started Covid Vaccination of Retired Railway Employees and their spouses (60 yrs & above) from Monday at Central Super Speciality Hospital/Patna. Timings are from 9.30AM to 04 PM. For vaccination one has to bring a Photo ID( preferably Aadhar card). The retired employees have to register themselves on Arogya setu App or selfregistration.cowin.gov.in or by spot registration. Vaccines are given in groups of 20 persons. Patients have to remain in hospital for 30 minutes after taking the vaccine. As spot registration takes some time hence there may be waiting time for 1 to 2hrs.

 

PNB celebrates Intl Women Day

Punjab National Bank (PNB) South Circle Head, Dipak Kumar Srivasatava on Monday on occasion of International Women Day under its Corporate Social Responsibility felicitated working and providing training handicraft physically disable Rakhi Mishra at Dhurwa in Ranchi. A programme on this occasion was also organised at Chipra in which meritorious students and school teachers were felicitated.

 

Canara Bank celebrates Women’s Day

Led by Circle Head Hitesh Goel a programme was organized at the Canara Bank, Circle Office, Ranchi on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Dr. Ritu Kumari a Dentist, Ranchi and Dr. Sarwat Jabeen an Associate Professor, Nirmala College, Ranchi was invited on this occasion and felicitated by AGM Bijay Shankar Jha. Dr. Ritu Kumari interacted with ladies staff of Canara Bank, Circle Office and clarified medical issues raised by female staff. On this occasion each lady staff were greeted with flower. In the evening Recreation club organized an event and all Ladies enjoyed and winners got prizes. On this occasion AGM Bijay Shankar Jha, DM Mahamaya Prasad Roy, DM P K Mahato, DM K K Sahoo, DM Subodh Kumar and all executives & Staff of Canara Bank, Circle Office were present.

 

Free Gynae Camp by Apollo

On the auspicious occasion of International Women's Day, Apollo Clinic organised a free gynaecological examination camp from 10 AM to 4 PM here on Monday. During the camp blood pressure, pulse, SPO2, ultrasound (breast) and Pap smear will were conducted for free, and 25 per cent was given in other tests. Gynecologist doctor Shweta Kantha checked up the patients in Apollo Clinic. A number of pink auto drivers of the Capital City participated in the camp.

 

Women day at BSNL Telecom Circle

The Jharkhand Telecom Circle on Monday celebrated the International Women’s Day at the auditorium of ARTTC. Neetu Singh, Chairperson of TWWO (TWWO) and Geeta Banerjee, Deputy Director General and. Supriya Jaiswal, Director, TERM Jharkhand were present on the occasion. On the occasion, Saris were distributed among all the women cleaning workers and women workers working in the maintenance of the premises. A competition for children was also organized on this occasion. On this auspicious occasion, the distinguished guest BSNL Jharkhand Telecom Circle Chief General Manager Mr. K.K.Singh. It was mainly contributed by Poonam Kumari Secretary TWWO, Anjali Khakha, Patricia Carroll, Rashmi Kumari, Smita Kujur etc.

 

Intl Women Day celebrated at CUJ

International Women’s Day is celebrated in the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) on Monday through blended mode with the UN Proposed topic “Choose to Challenge” by Department of Politics and International Relations. The celebration is graced by the presence of Vice Chancellor, Professor Ratan Kumar Dey, Professor Manoj Kumar, Professor, Dr SL Harikumar, Dr Alok Kumar Gupta and Dr Gitanjali, The celebrations observed the participation of academia and students of CUJ as well as of other academic institutions of India. The celebration ended with a formal vote of thanks by Dr Rajashree Padhi.

 

5 day NCC camp begins

As many as 302 cadets are participating in the five day NCC camp of 19 Jharkhand Battalion inaugurated at the state capital on Monday. The purpose of hosting the camp is to prepare the cadets for an exam concerning NCC. 70 percent of the training will focus on behavioral training while 30 percent on spiritual training. Interestingly, the camp marks the beginning on International Women's Day. NCC cadet Mamta from DSPMU was made the senior here.
