Paid old age home under construction

Bhopal:Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Minister Prem Singh Patel has said that a paid old age home with modern facilities is being constructed by the department in heart of the city Bhopal for old age persons spending life lonely. For paid old age home, 5 acres of land has been allotted by the government on Link Road No. 3.

Construction work of this building to be built at a cost of ten crore 83 lakhs has started. Located near the park of Pandit Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, this building is close to the main landmarks of the city including New Market, Arera Colony, Char Imli, J.P. Hospital, Habibganj Railway Station, Bittan Market. There is also adequate availability of means of transport from here. This will be the first paid Old Age home of the state.

Principal Secretary Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Prateek Hajela informed that initially there will be facility for 56 seniors to live in paid old age home. The purpose of constructing the building is to provide safe and convenient living accommodation to economically competent senior citizens , whose children do not live with them or are away from home in the country or abroad.

Use official vehicles for campaigning: Min

Bhopal: Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupender Singh instructed all urban bodies to use official vehicles for campaigning and make people aware for maintaining social distancing and wear mask. Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Nitish Viyas has given instructions to all Municipal Commissioners, Deputy Directors and Chief Municipal Officers to follow the above instructions.

CM plants saptaparni sapling in smart garden

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted a sapling of Saptaparni in Smart Garden on Wednesday. Chief Minister Chouhan is planting a sapling every day. He also plants even when he is staying outside the capital. Chouhan has planted one sapling every day till date since Narmada Jayanti.

Saptaparni is considered an important medicinal plant in Ayurveda, which has many types of health benefits. It is an evergreen tree. During the months of December to March, small green and white flowers are produced, which have a distinctive aroma. The plant grows mostly in the Himalayan regions and its surroundings. The bark of the plant is gray-coloured. This plant is used in the treatment of many diseases in all three Ayurvedic, Siddha and Unani medicine systems.
