DWA holds GB meeting, pays tributes to docs

Doctors’ Wives Association commenced its June G. B. Meeting on Zoom on Saturday by paying homage to Dr. Rudra Pratap Ghosh, Dr. Prashant Kumar Sengupta and Dr. Shashi Shekhar. They have, in the line of duty, succumbed to the deadly Coronavirus leaving behind their devastated families. Co-Chairperson Jhooma Sarkar spoke in memory of the deceased. Bhajans were sung by Dr. Madhu Sharma, Rinku Bannerji, Deepa Chauhan and Vandana Sinha. Environment Day & Yoga Day, which fall in June, were also celebrated. Pictures of members planting and tending to plants were posted. These members included Rashmi Sinha, Shobha Kumar, Rekha Mishra, Manju Khaitan, Arti Singh, Madhu Gupta, Dr. Soni, Supriya Thakur and Taruna Chabra. A video of following members presenting the poses of Suryanamaskar was also posted-Kumud Mohan, Sunita Rungta, Dr. Minali, Dr. Swati, Seema, Shalini, Renu Tiwary, Tabassum, Bindu, Rokshana Bano, Bibha Singh, Priyanka. The meeting was conducted by President Kamlesh Midha and Secretary Arti Singh.

Principal Director of Audit Steel visits Bokaro

Principal Director of Audit (Steel) Faisal Imam reached Bokaro in the course of his tour on June 11. On his arrival in Bokaro, senior officials of BSL welcomed him at Bokaro residence. On Saturday Imam first met the Director-in-Charge of BSL, Amarendu Prakash. He also participated in a meeting organized in the conference room of the Director-in-Charge and discussed various issues. The Director-in-Charge and Executive Director of BSL were also present in the meeting. After this, Imam inspected the layout of the plant in the Model Room located at Ispat Bhawan and inquired about the steel production process. After that he planted trees in the biological park. In the afternoon, Imam held a separate meeting with the officials of the Resident Audit of Bokaro unit.

3 die in road accident in Garhwa

Three persons including a father and his son died on the spot and two others were injured seriously when the auto rickshaw, in which they were travelling, collided with a truck on Bhawnathpur - Ketar road in Garhwa district on Saturday. The auto was heading for Ketar when the accident took place near Dudhwaniya Valley around 3 pm, police said. The deceased were identified as Khusbuddin Ansari, (30), his son Taushif Raja, (8) and Dipak Kumar (21). Injured mother and her daughter are undergoing treatment at CHC, Bhawnathpur. The truck driver went missing after the accident and a search was on for him, officials said.
