Cleanliness Fortnight begins at ECR

Under the 'Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat' mission, 'Swachhta Pakhwada' (Cleanliness Fortnight) is being organized by Indian Railways from September 16 to October 02 with the objective of making cleanliness a mass movement. The fortnight is being celebrated in East Central Railway Headquarters and five divisions. During this, cleanliness programmes will be organised on the station premises and trains, street plays to make people aware, cleanliness competition, essay and drawing competition etc. will be organized. On the first day of 'Swachhta Pakhwada', on the directions of Anupam Sharma, General Manager, ECR, Swachhta Pakhwada was started by Ashok Kumar, AGM by administering cleanliness oath to the officers and employees. On this occasion, railway employees took a pledge to keep their surroundings clean and contribute in this campaign by doing Shramdaan. In order to keep the premises clean, the awareness message about cleanliness was given by the officers and railway personnel on the headquarters premises by doing symbolic cleaning. Along with this, tree plantation was also done on the headquarters premises.

Hindi Pakhwada and Hindi Diwas at RBI

Like every year, Hindi Pakhwada celebrations were celebrated in the Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi office from September 01 to September 15, 2021 with full gaiety. During this various competitions were also organized for the staff members. Hindi Diwas main function was organized on 14th September 2021. Sadhna Verma, Chief General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, Central Office had a dignified presence through webex as the chief guest of the function. Sanjeev Sinha, General Manager (Officer-in-Charge), Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi, said that Hindi is a language that expresses the basic elements of our entire culture and Reserve Bank of India is committed to conveying its messages to the common people of Jharkhand

Hindi Pakhwada by Indian Bank

Hindi Pakhwada was celebrated from 1st September to 14th September at Ranchi Circle Office of Indian Bank. Under which five competitions were organized. All the staff members enthusiastically participated in all the competitions. The award distribution function was organized on Thursday under the chairmanship of Circle Manager Rajesh Mundra. On this occasion all the staff members including Deputy Zonal Manager Ananth Kumar were present. The winners of various competitions organized by the Zonal Office were rewarded with certificates and incentives by the Zonal Manager Rajesh Mundra. He also inspired everyone to work in Hindi. The programme was conducted by Chief Manager Manoj Kumar and Senior Manager (Rajbhasha), Om Prakash Verma.

‘Festival of Nature Karma’ celebrated at SBPS

Karma Puja, also known as ‘Festival of Nature’, is one of the most popular festivals of Jharkhand. It is related to the harvest and a tribute to mother nature. People of Jharkhand celebrate this festival through dance and music in the joy of new harvest. In order to keep this tradition and culture alive among the students, a folk dance was performed by the students. They dressed in traditional attires depicting the cultural heritage of Jharkhand. School Head Personnel & Admin. Dr. Pradip Varma appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and said that this is a festival of togetherness which strengthens our relationship with the environment. Principal Paramjit Kaur said that we always encourage the students to stay connected with the nature and preserve the tradition.

State-of-the-art PSA Plant commissioned

In its effort to combat Covid-19 and be future ready, Tata Steel’s Jharia Division commissioned state-of-the-art Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen plant at Tata Central Hospital, Jamadoba. Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President (Corporate Services), Tata Steel graced the occasion as Chief Guest in the presence of Dr Sudhir Rai, General Manager, Medical Services and  Tata Steel, Dr Rajan Chaudhry, Advisor, Medical Services. Sourav Roy, Chief (Corporate Social Responsibility), Tata Steel and Sanjay Rajoria, General Manager, Jharia Division, Tata Steel too were present. Set-up by Tata Steel Foundation, the PSA Oxygen Plant is spread over 400 sq ft. in area and has  capacity of 833 Liters per Minute. Beside the Oxygen Plant is the Oxygen Manifold and storage area for keeping filled and empty oxygen cylinders were also made operational,told divisional spokesman .
