HP Guv, CM felicitate people on Lohri
Shimla: Himachal Governor Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have felicitated the people of the state on the occasion of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. In his felicitation message, Governor hoped that the auspicious occasion of Lohri and Makar Sankranti bring prosperity and happiness in the lives of people of the state. The Chief Minister said such festivals provide us an opportunity of get together and share happiness with our near and dear ones which also go a long way in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and fraternity.
CGRF to hear grievances of consumers
Chandigarh: The chairman Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF) of Uttar Haryana BijliVitran Nigam along with the members of the Forum would take the proceedings of the forum in the office of XEN ‘OP’ Division Panchkula to redress the grievances or to hear the complaint of the consumers and to entertain new complaints from 11 am to 1 pm on January 18. A spokesperson said the CGRF shall take all complaints of consumers like billing problem, voltage complaints, problems in metering, disconnection and reconnection of power supply, interruptions, failure of power supply, efficiency, safety, reliability, noncompliance of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission orders etc.
PU VC releases 2021 calendar by PUNTEF
Chandigarh: Professor Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor Panjab University released the new year calendar for the year 2021 which was an initiative of Panjab University Non Teaching Employees Federation (PUNTEF), in his office in the presence of Deepak Kaushik, President and other office bearers of PUNTEF. PU VC appreciated the efforts of taking out this calendar and urged to carry on the official work with vigor and spirit. Kaushik expressed his heartiest gratitude for VC's encouragement and support for every initiative.
Lohri celebrated at Aashrey Home in Chd
Chandigarh: The Department of Tourism, Chandigarh Administration celebrated Lohri Festival with special children at Aashrey Home, Sector 47 D here Chandigarh with a lot of enthusiasm and by following the COVID-19 protocol. The chief guest was Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator. The bonfire, a key feature of Lohri, was kept alight throughout the celebration, lighting up the spirit of joy, happiness and togetherness. Parida distributed blankets, water campers and sweets to the special children to make the occasion special for them.
