Digital App for Diary and calendar

In the current phase of digitization, the first fully digital App for diary and calendar-2021 has been developed by the Bureau of Outreach and Communication of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. This digital diary and calendar have many specialties. The App version of this diary and calendar is available at https://www.goicalendar.gov.in. It is called Android Mobile or IOS. The platform can be accessed under the name 'GOI Calendar'. The digital calendar is in line with Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of 'Digital India' and can be accessed by clicking a button on any smart phone. This app is absolutely free and currently it is available in Hindi, English and 11 other Indian languages. It has updated information on various schemes, events and publications of the Government of India. Apart from this, there is also a detailed description of official dates and major dates. It also contains inspiring messages from important people of the country. It also has the facility to set up a reminder of meetings, important functions and events. In the coming days, it will be presented in a new form for the use of blind persons with disabilities, which will be an important step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister's goal of Accessable India / Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan.

 

SAIL pension scheme started in BSL

SAIL pension scheme was started on Tuesday for the ex-employees of BSL whose date of separation is from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2019. Keeping in mind the information related to and providing the facility of pension scheme to the ex-employees, two separate help desks have also been made in BSL Human Resource Development Center and MaitriBhawan located in Sector-4 City Center. This phase of the SAIL pension scheme was formally launched on Tuesday in the presence of BSL Chief General Manager (Human Resource Development) BS Popli and Chief General Manager (Personnel) Pawan Kumar. During this period, the senior officers welcomed the ex-employees who came to know about the pension scheme from the help desk and apprised them of the application process.

 

DPS, Ranchi shines in quiz competition

"Quizzinius- Battle of the Erudites", the Annual Quizzing Festival hosted by DPS, Ruby Park, Kolkata, was held on 15th and 16th January, 2021. The event witnessed a fervent engagement of many top-notch schools from all across the country, including DPS Noida, DPS Ruby Park, The Heritage School, and Mother’s Public School Bhubaneswar among others. The quiz was held in two categories, namely Senior and Junior. In the Prelims both the Senior and the Junior Teams from DPS Ranchi were through. Total six teams for both Senior and Junior Categories were short-listed for the Finals. In the Finals, Shakeb Arsalan (Class 11) and Ishan Ranjan (Class 11), who were flying the flag for DPS Ranchi, bagged the 1st position in the Senior Category with scintillating 4600 points. Whereas in the junior category,Yashaswi Jain (Class8), Atharva Pandey (Class 6) and Chaitanya Tiwari (Class 7) were also escalated to the 1st position with coruscating 3750 points. The Quizzers will be recognized duly with trophies, medals and certificates.

 

Spl vehicle checking drive in Namkum

On the occasion of 32nd road safety month an investigation drive was conducted in the Kharsidag area under Namkum police station by the District Transport Officer Praveen Kumar Prakash on Tuesday where a total of 188 vehicles were checked. All the vehicles were checked for the necessary documents along with the driving license of the drivers. During the investigation a total amount of Rs 2,19,900 was charged from 25 vehicles while 17 vehicles were seized. The drivers were directed to keep all the necessary documents in the car. Two wheelers riders and pillions were also checked for helmets.
